It is said that 95% of websites on the internet are practically abandoned once they have been put up online. They are never updated and remain forgotten, gathering dust in a dark corner of the web

This was not helped by the fact that, traditionally, one would hire a website designer who would code up your website for you, then any time you wanted something to be put on it, such as a photograph, you would have to email it to them and wait weeks for them to get round to updating your site. It is certainly very tedius.
